I looked through the website to see which variety i would like before heading to the store. I picked the Heritage O's because I read on the site that there were 24g of whole grain for a 30g serving and thought that was better compared to the others. However, once I bought the product, looked at the packaging and it said it only contained 16g of whole grain per 30g serving. I was pretty disappointed because I rather spend my money on something that contained more whole grains. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to return it because I did not pick up my recipt. On the plus side, if you don't care if you are eating whole grains or not, the cereal was very crunchy and is not too sweet. it's also a better option compared to other cereals with preservatives.
Heritage O's a very yummy, they are crunchy and have a natural sweetness without the cloying sweetness of a sugared cereal. I eat very low sugar and this cereal hits the requirements nicely but fills that breakfast cereal craving! Very healthy and stays crunchy in milk/almond milk. Love it as a yogurt topper too! I also have added it to my 4-5cereal mix, Puffed kamut, Puffed Millet, Heritage Flakes, Flax Seed and Heritage O's - with unsweetened almond milk is awesome! Add a little cinnamon and nutmeg for an amazing cereal treat with vey low sugar!
I just finished the first bowl of Heritage O's from the new bag I just purchased. To my surprise, the cereal in the bowl more closely resembled Cheerios than the hearty, robust Heritage O's to which I have become accustomed. Sad, really. The adage "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" seems appropriate here.
